Sexed dairy and beef semen continue to drive strong domestic market

A strong domestic market in 2022 saw a 29% increase in sexed semen sales, up from 518,644 to 671,348 doses year-on-year and a 39% rise in beef semen sales, from 429,675 to 595,331 doses, driven primarily by the dairy sector. In 2022 sexed semen made up over 38% of Australian dairy semen sales compared to 29% in the previous calendar year.
